Pros

Do you enjoy swag? Because that’s about the only good thing about working here.

Cons

- Don’t look at data when making decisions. - Very hierarchical. - Assume you have no experience prior to Paylocity and that this is your first job despite years of tenure with even more successful companies. - Marketing leadership is condescending and enjoys degrading people in meetings - even though their ideas are incredibly valid. - Opportunities may open up on the team, but they are not for you. They are only for external folks only. Sometimes, you don’t even know about them. Best friends of the CMO just show up. - A pay transparency tool shows you just how underpaid you are. - 10 people leave in one year and the team doesn’t do anything.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We have recently launched the Pay Transparency tool companywide. This includes market data and salary ranges to further reflect our competitive edge and fulfill our promise of full transparency. We believe strongly in career mobility and encourage employees to apply for opportunities of interest and ensure that the employees are supported to move into other roles at Paylocity.

Pros

Company offers great benefits (401k, medical, dental, etc...) and the office looks super nice and updated. Also, fruits, nuts, coffee, tea (things like that).

Cons

I refuse to believe all these 5 stars reviews are real. There is just no way. Pay is not enough for the amount of work you will be doing also you have to think as if you're in some economics class. The job description does not match to the work you actually do. You'll be working from 9am to 6pm (that's pretty much your entire day). I Have never been so embarrassed and discriminated in a job ever like I have here but unfortunately I will not be able to tell my experience because it will be pretty obvious in regards to who I am referring to. From the experience I had I don't think at all they should be hiring this much people, I believe the reason they are hiring is because their current employees (especially account managers and implementations) spend WAY way way too much time hanging out, talking, and just chatting around, then there's done.

Don’t forget about the Bevi machines for fizzy water! Look, we’re in the same boat, we want all the reviews here to be genuine and authentic because we want people to know what they’re signing up for if they join the Paylocity team. As important as it is for us to offer awesome benefits and perks – it's far more important that we give people a true and honest picture of what it’s like to be at Paylocity, day in and day out, the good and the bad. From your feedback, it sounds like we have good managers and bad managers, which is expected to a certain extent. While we understand that it’s impossible for everyone to be perfect, we have high expectations for our managers and leaders because we know the impact they have on their teams. That's why we’ve always invested in, and will continue to invest in, leadership and manager training to make sure they’re doing the right things and supporting their teams to the best of their abilities. We also have a lot of first-time managers who started their careers with Paylocity and eventually were promoted into leadership roles – so that’s another reason why management development is always top of mind for us. However most importantly – we have zero tolerance when it comes to discrimination. We all know the value of having a diverse workforce – but far beyond that we value having an inclusive workforce. If you’re willing to offer more details and context around what, and who, you’re referring to, it would go a long way in helping us prevent anyone else from feeling uncomfortable. If it would be obvious who you’re referring to, even better, it’ll only help us get better, and we would really appreciate it. If you want to talk, please reach out to lmccammond@paylocity.com.

Pros

We all have beginning and middle jobs, but strive to find the company in which you want to be a part of for many years to come. That's Paylocity ! Full transparency is rare and Paylocity provides it with out hesitation. There is pride working for this orginization and after many years in the HR technology space, I wouldn't work for any other company.

Cons

Fast growing. But everyone is provided with the resources and tools to keep up as an industry leader.
