Pros
Pay was decent, but really not enough for the workload.
Cons
While this occurred 3 years ago, I think it should be known how they treated their employees. Training was horrible, our trainer was in his first live class alone and didn't know how to control the class. Allowed for alot of side chat that was completely not work related. Played alot of kahoot and was basically given answers to the test. He was reported for this and removed from live classes from what I was told. Never once during training did I ever see one of their standard reports so had no idea how to advise clients once on the phone. There was alot of responsibility on account managers that should be split between separate departments. My personal experience with the company in relation to my headline, I had a minor surgery scheduled and took a Friday off work for the operation and should have recovered over the weekend. I ended up with a blood infection, collapsed in front of my family during recovery and was rushed to the hospital. While in the ER, I informed my direct supervisor of what had happened and that I was being held for a unknown amount of time because of the infection and required another surgery, I included pictures of my face which was swollen from the infection located in my jaw. I was barely able to speak. The response from my supervisor was him asking me to have my work laptop brought to the hospital so I could work from my hospital room and that I would be putting the company in a difficult position having to have my work delegated to other managers while I was in the hospital. I again explained I could barely speak and that would need another surgery and ultimately have a mouth full of stitches. He said it was unfortunate but they would handle it. I was in the hospital for multiple days on heavy duty antibiotics and still had trouble speaking after surgery. I was out unplanned for an additional week. It was explained to me that had the blood infection gone much further I could have died of septic shock. When I returned I was immediately pulled in to a meeting by my supervisor where I received a write up for being gone the extra week unplanned. I was never once asked if I was ok, if my family was alright after watching me collapse and slam my head into a wall during the fall, I was never asked if I needed anything, never told the company had my back and to safely recover. I was in complete shock in the meeting while receiving the write up and I asked "so you're writing me up because I almost died?" His answer was no you're being written up for the unplanned time off. I said ok and then he logged off the meeting and sent me my write up via email. I immediately began looking for another job. I also found out from another woman in my training group that while I was in the hospital so was she, that her cancer had come back from remission and she was also hospitalized and written up as well when she returned the same day I did. This company left we with the impression that their only care in their bottom line and the company but not their health and well being of their employees. I tell anyone in the industy who has considered a position with them or has been contacted by them for a position my story as a warning. The ceo also has an unfavorable opinion of the Paychex payroll company, during training he pulled all us ex paychex employees into a meeting to give his unfavorable opinion of the company and it's leaders amd how they did better then them... atleast until it comes to the health and well-being of their employees I guess.
