Pros

-Good place to learn the basics of publishing -Good training programs available, tuition reimbursement, graduate studies -Good people to work with -Good, social environment in and out of the office -Nice commutable location

Cons

-salary low -no real promotion from within - are pretty much on a level playing field with people outside the company for higher positions -editorial assistants stay as editorial assistants, unless they leave the company

It is a good temporary job. The environment is nice. The people are friendly. There isn't much stress, but the work is kind of mind numbing.

Cons

The work is very repetitive. There is little to no opportunity to advance. The work is only seasonal and your glad when it ends.
