Pros

Pearson has some strong products and great potential. The employee smart, energetic people who care about what they do. Great Copley Square location with wonderful, subsidized cafeteria. Nice physical environment and good people.

Cons

The pay is really really low for the degree of expertise and level of responsibility and committment required. We've had five years of virtually no raises, with an ever-increasing volume of work. How much longer do they think they can draw from the same well of energy and enthusiasm? This is soul-crushing. It is also difficult to continually let down our customers because we simply don't have the bodies to keep up with their needs.

Pros

Big company with lots of resources. Great coworkers. Good benefit package.

Cons

Company has gone to pieces in the past 2-3 years. Middle management has been so thoroughly gutted that there is no pipeline to communicate between the top brass and the actual workers. The people in charge have no idea what their staff actually does, so they decided to replace 2/3 with overseas contract vendors. It's a mess.

Pros

Great Health Benefits and Flexible work schedule!

Cons

Incompetent managers and directors, no transparency, most work in contracted out, no opportunities for advancement, raises, or conference attendance (you have pay out of your own pocket and time).
