Pros

Great benefits and great people. Work is really interestng. Two years ago I would have given Pearson 4 stars.

Cons

Company is in a death spiral. Continuos layoffs the past two years. They're outsourcing every department. A once great company to work for is now a terrible company. Morale is unbelievably low.

Pros

decent benefits, good work-life balance, people

Cons

- constant reorganization (had 12 different managers since I've worked there) - disconnected from people using the products - antiquated products - brown-nosing is the only way to get ahead - backstabbing employees in it for themselves - wayyyy too many mangers versus people who do actual work - soulless; pretend to care about education but only concerned about profits - insane amount of layoffs, regardless of your production and talent; be prepared to only be a number (i.e. a very talented employee I worked with who was known to be battling cancer was laid off recently)

Lack of strategy

Pros

Benefits, one of the most generous I have encountered including flexible schedules, paid time off, remote working options, professional growth options with paid memberships to industry groups.

Cons

There are constant reorgs that place people in jobs they are not suited for. Additionally, this causes a lack of focus from year to year resulting in constant shifts in strategy
