I appreciate hearing that you felt that our close knit community is a positive part of our culture, however, I am sorry that you were unhappy with your supervisor. As you can imagine, it’s difficult to improve in this area without knowing specifics, so please feel free to follow up with further feedback, if you feel comfortable. I assure you, this is on our radar and we encourage any employees who may feel similarly to talk to us to see how we can make their PHS experience better. Pros

Serving medically fragile children and their families is rewarding work. Really great coworkers.

Cons

While it's true that PHS offers good benefits and pay, the return expectation is pretty unattainable and often drives many to tears and severe anxiety. There is an expectation that you fit into a mold and if you do not, you will likely be shunned. Best advice is to figure out who to get in with as its not as much what you know and what you have to offer as much as who you know at this company.

Thank you for your honest review. I'm sorry your experience with PHS was not favorable. Our leadership team has met to discuss your concerns and we have a plan going forward to address communication, listening and valuing employees and quick decisions to issues. In addition, it's concerning to hear that many experience high stress and anxiety, as the happiness and health of our employees is very important. Although it's a little hard to address this without knowing specifics, I want to assure you it is on our radar, it is something we take very seriously and encourage any employees feeling this way to feel comfortable talking with us. Also, while it's not entirely possible in every situation, we try and plan events and activities for employees that encourage cross-departmental interaction, but will be sure to concentrate a larger effort on this, as well as inter-departmentally in the upcoming year to help with inclusion. While I'm saddened to learn that you were let down by PHS, I appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and welcome further feedback, if you'd like to share.
