Best Thing That's Happened to Me Since Graduation

Pros

Peek is, singlehandedly, the best thing that's happened to me since I graduated from college back in 2009. I've been with the company for 2.5 years and have grown my career so much, learned more than I thought was imaginable, and met some of the most supportive, intelligent, and fun people ever. Peek is the type of company that rewards and appreciates talent immediately. I was hired as an SDR and over 2.5 years have been promoted 3 times. I've never had to approach management regarding these promotions or raises, they've always been a step ahead in realizing my potential and making me feel like a valued part of the team. I've learned so much about inside sales and I've been able to travel around the country selling in-person as well (it's been the best of both worlds). Upper management has encouraged me to always share my opinions and give input, much of which has helped shape how strategic decisions have been made over the years. The trust management has placed on me and the opportunities they've given me have been incredible. On top of the career growth I've experienced, from a financial perspective the sky is the limit. I've been able to exceed all of my financial goals (including paying off my student loans completely, starting a Roth IRA, and saving a TON of $$ in the process). The vacation policy is also WONDERFUL. We get a ton of time off, management is flexible, and I've never felt like I had to say no to a family vacation or long weekend plans. We also get Christmas time off for 2 weeks! Now onto the best part... the people. Even after almost 3 years, going into work still puts a smile on my face. Everyone has a shared mission, everyone is super hard working, and all of the teams collaborate on a daily basis. I definitely understand how my day-to-day input affects the company at large and working together with other teams has given me a really good understanding of every department. We've shared incredible memories together as well: from ski trips, to Tahoe summer trips, to happy hours, scavenger hunts, etc. Peek never fails to deliver on the fun! I couldn't recommend the company more highly. It's made such an incredible impact on both my career and personal life - I am forever grateful.

Cons

The hours are long (but it's what you want to put into it). Sure, you could get paid more at another company but I would also argue that it's completely worth the pay cut given the growth and learning opportunities. Honestly, there's not much I can say that's negative.

Pros

From the moment I stepped foot into the office for my interview, I already knew that Peek was going to be an awesome startup to work at. The people (Peeksters) here are all extremely friendly, welcoming, down-to-earth, and always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition, everyone here is without a doubt tremendously motivated, hard-working and passionate about what they do. If you ever get a chance to go inside the office, you'll surely agree that the office's interior looks like something straight out of Pinterest. There's an office chef who prepares breakfast four times a week, lunch once a week (Peeknics), and dinner three times a week. (Everything he makes is delicious!) Noah's bagel caters also on Fridays. Will definitely miss working here.

Cons

Had to work on the weekend (Saturdays), but that is expected for positions on the Support team, especially since Peek is a fast-growing startup.

Pros

I'll put it simply... we sell a system that makes work easier to people that make our life FUN. The company expects good work and rewards it. I've never seen so much time off approved. You're not just selling an awesome and fun product, but selling to people that hopefully someday you'll go and do the activities and tours your are helping them out with. - Stocked up kitchen for your eating delight. FREE LUNCH AND DINNER AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK ...if not more. - Working with a young group of people, - Very autonomous, they expect you to work and leave you to it. one check-in half way through the day to see where you're at. - Good commission plan with residual income, upfront bonus, and other incentives. - Down to earth genuine managers and executive team - STRONG GROWTH, opening opportunities internationally and in management - You actually enjoy coming in to work everyday

Cons

- Compared to other sales jobs base is low, BUT, depending on experience it IS NEGOTIABLE - Organization isn't ALL there, as this is still considered a startup (but still very structured) - All cold calling, (not as bad as the clients/operators are expecting calls) now and then you get a teed up inbound. - Once a week you'll have an after work sales meeting - Twice a month you'll have a late night company meeting (dinner provided)
