Pros

Field employees are generally pretty awesome - the company has a low tolerance for laziness. Good pay

Cons

Upper management is clueless as to how to run the fieldwork and tries to micromanage anyhow. Too quick to terminate good employees in effort to "make changes" to impress owners.... really, they should listen to the field employees to make improvements. No such thing as work/life balance.... either you're all in, 24/7 or you're out

Thank you for your review of Pegasus Residential. We actually receive and encourage feedback and ideas from teams that work at the communities on a daily basis. Many of the policy changes and/or implementations at Pegasus resulted from suggestions from employees. At Pegasus, we pride ourselves on our hard work and the speed at which we are able to complete tasks to satisfy our residents and owners. We also offer one of the best PTO and holiday plans in our industry which we encourage everyone to use to create balance in their lives.

Used, Abused, & Kicked to the Curb

Pros

Hmmm...this is a tough one. The knowledge and experience gained from working in a fast-paced environment was invaluable. I learned how to handle stressful situations effectively. That's about all I can honestly come up with.

Cons

My property has had 4 Regional Managers (and 4 property managers) in less than a year's time. That degree of turnover makes it impossible for on-site staff to be successful in running their property. With every new RM comes new rules and expectations. There is no consistency. Sometimes an RM will come in and "promise the world" to a property owner and set very unrealistic and unattainable goals for the property manager and on-site staff. When the goals were not fully met, this RM resorted to unethical methods to increase occupancy and keep the numbers up. When the RM was challenged by the property manager about these unethical decisions, the RM fired the manager to save his/her own job. No employee should have to work for a RM that violates fair housing laws. No employee should feel threatened to keep quiet when a superior is making unethical decisions.

As with any fast growing company our management teams may changed to oversee a different portfolio. We are very proud of all of our Regional Managers and have the highest level of trust that they will oversee our assets and teams professionally. If there is ever any doubt that this isn't the case, we maintain an open door policy throughout every level of the company and encourage any employee to speak up immediately. Not reporting a possible ethics breech is actually a violation of every job description at Pegasus.

very unimpressive and unethical management

Pros

Decent pay and some opportunity for advancement since it is a relatively new company.

Cons

Owners and other management staff were very disrespectful of the employees, using fear to get results instead of inspiring their teams to do achieve. It was a bullying environment, is the best way I can describe it. Even top producers at the corporate level were openly put down when they weren't present, and I witnessed this behavior on more than one occasion. On site staff was treated very poorly as well. I was very disappointed and did not stay long with this company.
