Review as a PCA

Pros

Every single nurse that I have worked with was always willing to help when needed.

Cons

Staffing is not great - after 3pm, you may have the whole floor for just one PCA - even if there are 27 patients.

Pros

Benefits ( medical and PTO), Learning environment ( many new graduates and degree contributions $). Excellent location to start nursing.

Cons

Too large of an environment to call home, less seasoned nurse force compared to other hospital systems, less diversity in positions ( ie. PRN, etc) to help assist in alleviating RN burnout in some units.

Pros

Great medical benefits if you stay within their health system. PTO is good. Most of the employees are ok.

Cons

Very low pay for non-management employees!! That will not change. The tuition discount is only for HMC employees.
