Great when they first want to meet you and get you a temp position...it ends after that,

Is this true? How can this be verified if they don't provide you with a copy of what you signed? I asked for a copy or a copy be emailed but the did neither. No contact after they place you. Not helpful in any way after initial placement. I was placed for a temp position that was supposed to last 6 weeks. I explained I needed a full time permanent job, I was told its a foot in the door and they would probably hire me! Well, its been over 4 months and they won't place me somewhere else because " am not able to contact you with current openings when you are actively working with a client." I am looking on my own for a permanent full-time position! It is like a shell game

We are sorry you were unable to make the transition to full-time as quickly as hoped. Prior to beginning an assignment, all employees are required to attend orientation at their PeopleShare branch, during which time a copy of the signed agreement is provided to the employee. If an employee determines that an assignment is not a good fit for him/her after starting, which we completely understand can happen, we require that a one week notice be given so a replacement can be found for the position. When the employee has completed the week, we can then discuss other opportunities that may be a better fit. We do wish you the best in finding a position that better suits your needs.

I was extremely surprised when my first job w/ PS paid double my previous salary, even though it was temporary. It didn't turn out so well, but, I was almost immediately assigned to a nee job, which I've recently been hired full - time to!. Greatly indebted to PS for the opportunity. Also, there's tons of open jobs. Always updated on them. Surprising in this economy.

Cons

Jobs are mostly in PA suburbs, it seems. Can be a hassle to commute if you don't have a car.

Persistence. Not sure of anything else.

Cons

The manager did not want to say much about the position over the phone. I did not want my time wasted. I am so used to a company explaining to me what the position is, and what it offers etc. I really do not like it when they are persistent to have you come in person, and not want to tell you over the phone what is the position. Plus the whole misleading job postings. They don't post it as a temp to perm position. It is misleading, it looks like a regular company looking to hire. But then you'll have someone from their office call you and say this is so and so from people share. Not into staffing agencies. Very misleading.
