Pros

- The people and the engineers. There are a lot of really knowledgeable engineers that are always looking to mentor new or less experienced engineers. Teamwork is a big part of the philosophy here. - Changing roles - The company offers opportunities to try various roles (engineer, lead, program management). If you show competence you'll be given a chance. - Contracting with the security of having a job with benefits and not the hassle of finding your next job. - Changing projects - As one project you work comes to a completion you move to another. You can work different phases of the SW life cycle for each program you're assigned to. Rarely are you pigeon-holed unless you want to be. - Your progress at the company is in your hands - do well and you'll be recognized. A lot of people expect praise for doing what they're hired to do. Here, you'll get praise when you excel at what you're hired to do. Is that not fair?? - Knowledgeable management staff that are also held accountable for the work that the company does.

Cons

- Sometimes you don't get to work on what you want because the work just isn't there. - Often the good engineers are spread too thin and have to work extra hours to complete assignments.

Pros

There are some really good engineers to work with at this company Free Snacks

Cons

The leadership treats the job at hand as if anyone can do it. Be careful to get promoted, it may seem great at first, but in reality you are walking the plank. PSW focusses on the numbers now and the good engineers .... well there is always someone cheaper who can do the job. The change of leadership and leadership direction is like an AGILE development process without a scrum master.

Cons

Upper management makes too many changes (the flavor of the month we call it) If you are not IN with the right people - they make you feel like an outsider (socially and professionally) Very Cliquey! A lot of Drama!

First, Performance has, admittedly, gone through quite a few changes lately in response to our growth as a company and in attempts to address employee concerns. However, we are committed to providing a stable environment for our employees and we will continue to improve on this process. Second, we are saddened to hear that you feel like an outsider. Performance actively tries to cultivate a friendly environment among all employees and our monthly events are part of that effort. We value each employee and we don’t believe in the “In Crowd” or “Out Crowd” mentality. It is truly disappointing to hear that an employee has gotten this impression.
