Pros

The people I work with provide great support. The work life balance can get heavy at times but it can also be the opposite as well. New projects come up and it provides me a chance to venture out into new areas,
Snacks are provided and they are getting healthier. The events at the location I work at are small but fun. No sick days needed. Take a sick day if you want. No more stressing if you don't have sick days. Working remote is allowed if you are allowed. Communication with my team is great. Very flexible work schedule if needed.

Cons

The work can be the repetitive for stretches. But most jobs are. Work can cancel out vacations if a deadline needs to be hit.
Sometimes I am not notified by other departments on charges that should be address to the one I am working in. It’s not an update technology environment. Cube city can get old. Management is working on this though.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! A small company atmosphere has always been a priority and we are glad to hear you can turn to your peers and leaders for support. Performance is proud to offer an outstanding work/life balance and aim to provide a workload that allows for that to be possible. As we continue to grow, Performance is branching out into new arenas of software development and testing. We’re hoping that this growth fosters an environment of exciting work to help mitigate any long stretches that could be less than stellar for our engineers. We know traveling can be a burden. In order to make it easier for both Performance and our contributors, we work with the travel availability given and provide adequate heads up so vacations or personal obligations can be arranged. We do apologize if this ever interrupted a vacation or personal time, as we mentioned earlier, Performance does value work/life balance. We agree that cube city can certainly get old! This is the main reason why we revamped the cubicles to give an open office environment without compromising privacy. We think the standing desks aren’t a bad perk either 😊. Thank you again for the feedback and continued contributions!

Pros

- The people and the engineers. There are a lot of really knowledgeable engineers that are always looking to mentor new or less experienced engineers. Teamwork is a big part of the philosophy here. - Changing roles - The company offers opportunities to try various roles (engineer, lead, program management). If you show competence you'll be given a chance. - Contracting with the security of having a job with benefits and not the hassle of finding your next job. - Changing projects - As one project you work comes to a completion you move to another. You can work different phases of the SW life cycle for each program you're assigned to. Rarely are you pigeon-holed unless you want to be. - Your progress at the company is in your hands - do well and you'll be recognized. A lot of people expect praise for doing what they're hired to do. Here, you'll get praise when you excel at what you're hired to do. Is that not fair?? - Knowledgeable management staff that are also held accountable for the work that the company does.

Cons

- Sometimes you don't get to work on what you want because the work just isn't there. - Often the good engineers are spread too thin and have to work extra hours to complete assignments.
