      Pros

      Company really gives the PL a lot of freedom in running the technical portion of a program. The quality of engineers here is good, able to form strong teams who understand commitment to getting the job done a priority.

      Cons

      Management seems to be always tinkering with job titles and roles, always looking at other companies and trends in the market. Seems to be a lot of "positioning" amongst some of the engineering crew. Causes a bit of unrest and concern as there a number of other areas that are far more important and don't seem to get any real attention. Over emphasize the "culture" part of the business, rather spend it on furthering the company than the heavier than normal pulse taking.

We are very sorry that you feel upper management has been tinkering too much. Our growth as a company has required some changes and re-structuring. As to the excessive pulse-taking, it is well intended. We care about our employees and value their opinions, so we are always striving to do better. We do value your feedback and will learn from it.

      A company built by engineers for engineers

      Pros

      Company leaders exhibit genuine caring for employees and for the workplace culture. Great people throughout. Problems are discussed openly, without the usual workplace politics. Ability is recognized, and provides opportunities for growth and career development.

      Cons

      Not a place you can hide if you are a low-performer. Not a lot of patience for workplace drama, and for those who have an "us vs them" mentality.

      Pros

      PSW provides the ability to work on many different types of programs. Engineering staff is top notch and management maintains a focus to keep it that way. PSW has a work hard, play hard culture where your value is consistently recognized and rewarded. Great place to work!

      Cons

      As with any growing company there will be growth pains. PSW in the recent past has changed it's management structure several times trying to achieve a "best of both worlds" situation.. small company culture with big company stability and benefits. In addition these changes were necessary to ensure continued competitive cost structures for our customers. Those these changes were and can be cumbersome at the time, I have a strong belief PSW will find the right balance!
