      Pros

      Decent compensation, benefits and career opportunities.

      Cons

      PE was a great company to work for 15 years ago. But over the last 10 years management has gone downhill. Pay is now heavily weighted towards performance metrics that have the effect of very short term thinking. It depends on where you are, there are still a few good managers left. But in my case, and I think is more common, my manager used bullying tactics and shaming and made it a toxic and unbearable work environment which is why I finally had to leave. There are a lot of employees close to retirement who will put up with that kind of treatment. But PE is going to have a hard time getting younger workers unless they make big changes starting at the top.

      Good people but unstable

      Pros

      A lot of great people to learn from, easy to move up.

      Cons

      Unstable, often laying off the youngest talent sometimes months off promotions or hirings. Some leadership is fantastic but they are often outranked by people with questionable and constantly changing vision.

      Company Recognizes and Rewards Talented Employees

      Pros

      They are very quick to recognize talented employees and promote them into more challenging roles- you see a lot of promotion from within versus external hires. Great place to work if you are motivated and want to advance your career.

      Cons

      Like most public companies, it can be a challenge to balance longer term investment while meeting current quarter financial expectations.
