Pros

PernixData has incredibly high calibre people, a very compelling product story that I strongly believe in, and an overall great work environment. My previous job was at Google, and I have absolutely no regrets leaving due to all these things. The people are incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with. There aren't any big egos and folks are passionate about doing the right thing, whatever amount of work that may entail. The two founders, Satyam and Poojan are very down to earth and approachable. They genuinely care about their employees' well being and strive to provide a positive work environment with great benefits. They are also very open and honest with communication.

Cons

None that wouldn't also apply to other startups.

Awesome Engineering team where everyone is an expert in the area he/she works on. The people - is the number one reason I joined PernixData about more than a year ago. And so far, it's been that way. It's been my pleasure to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry. On a different note, some of the benefits are really cool - Unlimited vacation time, pantry full of snacks/beverages :)

This company is also on the brink of disrupting the market into the next technological cycle of innovation. Which is truly exciting to be working with a extremely talented group of individuals. You learn a lot and meet a lot of new interesting people as well!

If you value the status quo then you will be uncomfortable working for a startup.
