Pros

The pay is good for what you are doing. Mostly standing and waiting while machines run. Benefits package is good, especially store credit for Perrigo products.

Cons

My least favorite things about Perrigo all have to do with the fact that it's a large corporation. The people doing all the actual production are replaceable. I've noticed a lot of favoritism and it seems like it's a lot more of who you know rather than what you know.

Pros

Overtime Great Pay Health Insurance is amazing Over Time

Cons

Management plays favorites. People get promotions who shouldn't and any complaints are brushed off. If you go to HR they will retaliate against you even though Perrigo says they are not supposed to and nothing is done about it. Being a snitch and knowing someone in the offices is the only way to get a promotion. Turn over rate is stupidly high and management doesn't listen when people say why. They expect the good workers to pick up the slack instead of talking to the ones who are not making rate.

Pros

Good middle class wages for production employees, on-the-job training, fully paid-for benefits for full-time union employees. Company makes and manufactures products of which you can be proud. Overtime always available.

Cons

Due to management changes, many good people have left en masse. Extensive buy-outs of experienced, capable and caring personnel and some suspect firings has led to an environment, especially on the production floor, of pervasive mediocrity. Few people go the extra-mile any more because their commitment and loyalty will not be rewarded long-term. Everyone from supervisors downward punch-in, do the minimum, and punch-out. Lack of communication and information sharing leads to a shoddily run manufacturing/production floor, where the money is made. Buyouts of experienced production supervisors to save money means new production supervisors do not understand FDA procedures and regulations are not recommendations but legally binding. The new production supervisors are lazy, lack common-sense and communicate badly because they have no mentors. Thanks for good work few and far between.
