      Great for new groomers, but be ready to handle stress

      Pros

      In company paid training. Options to move up. Flexible scheduling, Get to spend days with dogs

      Cons

      Fast-paced and extremely stressful. Expected to groom multiple dogs, clean, answer calls, and take walk in service simultaneously. Management is more focused on rest of the store, so It can be hours before anyone comes to check in our help.

      Good salary. Only 40 hours a week. Not much else. Can't even fill the Minimum word requirement in this section.

      Cons

      I can not begin to tell you how horrible this company is to work for. The way I was trained and expected to treat my employees were horrible. The company teaches management to operate a flawless store at all the expensive of the employees. Incredibly amount of pressure to perform perfectly every day. highly recommend not working here.

      Pros

      You get to be around animals. Pet owners share passion for animals. Safety is a priority for animals, guests and employees. Store GM has some latitude in merchandising decisions.

      Cons

      Salaries are below retail industry for comparable big box. We deal with live animals for sale and in the salons but there is no added compensation for this responsibility. Company is extremely politically correct and is quick to discipline and terminate for any variance from their interpretation of acceptable language.
