Pros

There is a lot of change taking place within the organization, which usually leads to opportunity. The people you work with day-to-day are friendly and open. It's a pet-friendly environment and very accommodating of work/life balance.

Cons

The new executive management is not engaged AT ALL with people who are making things happen, which leads to uncertainty and discontent. There have been more than a few talented individuals who have left rather than wait to see if the executive team actually knows what they are doing. It often feels like the executive management team doesn't know or care if key people leave.

Pros

I luckily had great store management so my experience has been great. Easy to get time off, loved working with dogs.

Cons

Mentally and physically demanding. Getting bit, scratched, peed, pooped, and anal glanded on. The company is also taking a turn for the worse since it got bought out. Very much all about money now, not the customer or animals. Pay is also crap.

Pros

-Job Security (It's tough to get fired) -Develop relationships with customers and their pets that grow into friendships. -You get to play some with puppies and kittens on an occasion. This tends to make that work much more tolerable, and overall more rewarding than a paycheck. -Flexible Scheduling.

Cons

-Management is a joke -You get put in a glass box with 6-18 dogs that bark, scream, cry, and cover you in fluids. -Can be incredibly stressful when working with a rough group of animals -May whatever god you believe in help you if your caught going above and beyond your job description. (They confuse initiative with insubordination) -Raises and Promotions are none-existent unless you're annoying about it.
