Pros
Coworkers are genuinely awesome. There is a united love for pets that is unique to retail.
Cons
Anyone above store management is completely separated from reality. Work load continues to grow as labor continues to shrink and they have completely moved away from making the company about people. It is strictly about chasing numbers (some irrelevant from bottom line) and shifts priorities depending what numbers become the lowest, poor management is often celebrated as true, devoted employees are shunned as favoritism runs rampant. They do of course mask this with a “belonging campaign” that does little more then highlight obscure holidays while increasing workload with break room posters and activities. FYI, most employees do not get a chance to use the break room as there is often only 3 employees at a time in the building.
