Pros

Great customers, get to see animals every day, great products to feel confident selling.

Cons

Poor selection in management, management tries to be too close with employees that it hinders efficiency, toleration of sexual harassment between younger employees, lack of management accountability.

Pros

The benefits package was great compared to other companies.

Cons

I had over 7 years with the company. When I was hired the mgmt was trained "on the job" and those mgrs know a lot. Now, mgrs are sent to other store to learn procedures and they come back knowing nothing. I've heard they are going back to the old way this year. Don't be a "whistle-blower" because you'll be the one that loses your job. Yes, I spoke up one to many times when I refused to violate policies as requested. I reported some inconsistencies in another store. Within a month I was terminated and the manager that is violating all policies still has their job. The customer service scores were better when the Manager did the actual schedule instead of a "machine" doing it. I was always UNDER payroll budget when I made it.

Pros

You make your own schedule depending on what class times and days you think you can sell. You get holidays off for the most part because no one wants to come to class on holidays. You get a month of training and then start teaching immediately so it gives you a good start especially if you want to train using positive reinforcement techniques.

Cons

You end up working every weekend because those are prime times for classes. You have to be good at selling classes, otherwise you'll just make your hourly rate and no commission. The commission you do make is only 25% but it can add up quick if you're a good seller.
