      Pros

      DOGS, if you love animals it is a really fun place to work. Real animal lovers understand how animals can make a bad daya little better. Easy policys to follow once you understand them, and corporate is usually pretty helpful. Lower level manager positions are very attainable if you work hard(hard work is always recongized). Company as a hole is hands down better than the compition.

      Cons

      Big on outside hires for salary positions, Expierance is not always a good thing.

      Pros

      Working at Petsmart allows you to interact with many different animals, ususally dogs, but sometimes there are cats, monkeys, birds, even a pot-bellied pig once came to visit! As an employee, your main goal is to help the customer make decisions that will best work in their circumstances, so you ask a lot of questions in order to do the job.

      Cons

      Policies seem to change frequently. When I left, the payroll hours were being cut, which meant that only one person was in each department for a while. Typically, this leads to corners being cut and jobs not being performed because there isn't time to do it properly. Store management seemed inflexible when I gave them advance notice that my son's daycare would be closed on certain days. I was told to find "other arrangements" because those days couldn't be my scheduled days off. On the other hand, people that were out constantly with no excuse and no call in were left employed.

      Solid company with a strong business plan

      Cons

      Was completely sold on the position and its possibilities...several DM changes in 4 years led to confusion and a lack of cohesion amongst the teams.
