Pros

Dogs and cats The friends I made Employee discount Bringing my dog for camp My specific hoteleader

Cons

Constantly changing schedule Terrible pay (was making less after 5 years of employment than someone just hired in core) Made to wear a mask in camp, in an enclosed room, COMPLETELY alone with the dogs......while customers weren’t enforced to wear one I felt like the manager of the store was targeting me The emotional strain of caring for dogs/cats Some would work holidays, some didn’t Unable to control heating/AC locally, so it would get very hot in the summer Little to no air flow making the heat and humidity worse in the hotel No signs on showcase room telling people...not to take pictures (made me extremely uncomfortable), not to touch/knock on glass because it can be dangerous for the dogs, and that the dogs are not for sale or up for adoption Schedule would come out right before the week where it starts, making it almost impossible to make plans and appointments without doing it at least 2 weeks in advance Many days of being under staffed due to last minute reservations and walk ins that we were told not to turn away Terrible communication between the hotel/store/grooming

Pros

Free grooming academy, good money - will just cost you your sanity

Cons

Management frequently picked favorites. Will not listen to employees who try to tell them when something is wrong. Mold everywhere. Dogs were always stressed. Employees were always stressed. Management let and encouraged clients to treat employees like dirt. Once they decided they didn't like you (could be because you decided to befriend someone they already didn't like instead of them) they would find any small reason to get you out of the door. Systems did not work right 90% of the time. Booking system was slow. Bathing bunkers hardly worked. Not enough space for all the dogs. Will not work with you when you inevitably get burnt out. Management also will talk poorly about employees they don't like to other employees. Higher management did nothing when my salon leader openly talked about employees sex lives to other employees, and frequently berated employees she didn't like (which could be anyone at any given time). This company does not care about the animals or the employees that work here. They only care about income and reviews. The salon was always in poor condition and I would never leave my dog there or let someone I cared about work there.

Pros

- Good pay - Great childcare on campus - Pets can come to work - Fun projects - Cafe & gym on campus

Cons

- Senior leadership doesn't get along & therefore many are confused on the ultimate company-wide goal - Extremely political - if you don't fit into the mold you won't get far or will be outcast - Some of the leaders are unprofessional & witnessed them mocking others in meetings - Benefits are standard, many newer companies have better
