      Pros

      Working with the store staff was excellent. Everyone worked well together and did our best to make our store great. Helping pet parents and pets find what was best for them. The animals made getting through the day fun. I loved it.

      Cons

      HR manager's being able to hire their family, external candidates, over well trained and promotable internal candidates. I seen 2 internal candidate's passed over because the local HR was allowed to hire an untrained family member instead of trained manager's for a GM position. This is totally unfair and unforgettable.

      Pros

      - Work with Animals - Customers are usually quite nice as they care about animals - Discounts on products, really helps out if you have pets of your own and need to buy food and supplies - Management was friendly and fair - Video training courses available to learn about all different types of animals, this info helps a lot when speaking with customers

      Cons

      - Often understaffed, but normal amount for retail - Cleaning the cages of some of the animals gets old after awhile - Job pays the bills but has very few options for career growth

      Pros

      Getting to work with all the animals and the people who love animals who come in every day.

      Cons

      Management sucked, getting paid near minimum wage to do bathing and things like that is ridiculous, gets crazy busy at times.
