Pros
Great People Interesting Job Healthcare field isn't going anywhere pay is decent-raises suck however
Cons
Wow, where to begin? This is the most unprofessional group of managers I have ever met-they need some kind of management training seminar. The employee training is a joke-they sit you with an associate of the floor and that person trains you the way they were trained--which might or might not be the way everyone else is doing it. Hopefully you are a quick study. (There is no longer a training department, and when there was it was crap-a quick overview of all the departments and some basics on the computer and then training was done on the floor. EVERY other job I have ever held there was at least 2 weeks of classroom training before you were put on the floor.) It used to be the the reps were pharmacy specific admissions/census but then upper management decided per a consultant we would do better as a "call center", which we are not. Suddenly we are suppposed to be working all the pharmacies with no training and the spreadsheets that were supposed to be our aides weren't ready. We just stumbled through the best we could. When a new procedure is introduced, there is minimal training; often times ideas or programs are implemented before all the the kinks and bugs are worked out--there is no planning ahead. Again, every one has a different way of doing things, because everyone was trained different. There is absolutley no consistency. The morale was at all time low when I left-people feeling hopeless and depressed because no one listened to them or gave them true credit. realized they were the engine that kept the company running.
