Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you think we have continued to create a fun and inclusive culture while hiring good people. We have recently updated our benefits and flexibility programs for the UK office, based on employee feedback. Hopefully, you will take advantage of the new work-from-home perk, our formalized core-office hours, the 4-week sabbatical after four years of employment, and our two volunteer days. Personal and professional development is also a top priority at PitchBook. If you’re finding it challenging to progress, we’d encourage you to reach out to your manager, department head, or PBLearning to identify ways to remove any barriers preventing you from reaching your full potential at PitchBook.

Good opportunities but toxic culture

Pros

For young people early in their career there's alot of opportunity to get experience and grow. The product is really good too and provides opps to learn about VC/PE

Cons

If you're not part of the frat/boys club, the culture can be very toxic. Lots of issues around racism/sexism - it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. HR doesn't help much either, they seem to care more about protecting the company and add to the sorority culture. It's an option to start out your career but if you don't fit in to the culture and management style, not a fun time. Weird reluctance from the top to let people work from home too - very little flexibility, even with valid reasons

I am sorry to hear you have not had a positive experience with the culture at PitchBook. What you have described is certainly not the culture or experience we aspire to. Building a safe, inclusive, and equitable workplace where our colleagues can grow and thrive is paramount to who we are. Without further details it is difficult to address some of your specific feedback, however, it is important to state that we have zero tolerance for racism, sexism and bullying. If you have experienced or witnessed a situation that you believe goes against this policy please reach out to me directly or another member of the leadership team or call our hotline so that we can investigate and resolve any allegation that violates our zero tolerance policy.
