Pros

Support from local district management in Nashville is superb. The local comraderie is unbeatable, although I hear that's not as much the case in other districts. Incentives and potential for increased income is vast, and depends entirely on personal performance. In my first full year, I've won hundreds of extra dollars in gift cards and incentive money, along with a giant flat screen television. You get to meet with a diverse group of businesses and learn details about their operations and goals. The benefits are extremely good, and it helps that the local sales team is very supportive of new reps.

Cons

The ups and downs of a sales job when you're new to the profession. The base salary is pretty low.Due to the nature of my position, it is hard to take a long vacation, and district management tends to to pressure you not to. While advancement in sales is clearly available, I dont get the feeling that it would be easy to make a move into a different area of the company from my position in U.S. Mailing Operations. This is too bad because there are so many other areas of the company that I would like to get to know better.

Pros

The best reason to work for Pitney Bowes depends on which state/city one is working; however, tuition reimberssment is one of the best I know. Pitney Bowes reimburses 100% of your education once you meet the qualification, which is to work for six months and be in good standing. Pitney Bowes covers broad range of majors for remibursement even those that are not related to your work like public health and realstate.

Cons

It is difficult to figure out career path for employees. Unless one proactively sick assistance from outside, it is not clear the opportunities that are available for those who would like to progress. Most managment jobs that are posted within the company require at least 5 years of minimum managment experience which leaves those in the bottom out.
