Was Great When I Joined...

Pros

When I joined, we had a close-knit team with supportive upper management. Able to work remotely full time. Could be a good temporary stop If you are based in Bangalore, India

Cons

- Average compensation compounded by no merit bonus. 2-4% raises unable to keep up with current economic climate - Average benefits and 401K package – surprising for a “benefits administration company” - Very high attrition rates, especially with tenured staff, leading to a “brain drain” situation - Non-stop restructuring - New leadership change has focus on India office and despite it not being headquarters, it is the nicest office they have - Redundancy always looming with focus on India - C-suite has brought in new members that have created an extremely toxic work environment with lack of transparency - With new leadership tied to appeasing current owners, there is not a clear direction regarding company goals especially when it comes to direction, outsourcing and compensation - If you don’t like brain-teaser exams, watch out for the required-for-hiring CCAT test

You Can Do Better

Pros

Most people that work there are genuine and caring. Well meaning people doing their best with the circumstances.

Cons

Pay is low for the industry, focus is on sales, and the product needs some updating but upper management is focused on the shiny new feature. Turnover at this company is crazy, if you work there for more than 6 months you are considered one of the old guys. With 3 time zones across the world team meetings are hard to schedule and makes us all feel separated. Certain managers are so focused on managing up that they give little to no help to their employees. Average raise this year was around 2%.

Could be better

Pros

Very flexible. Every supervisor I've had has been caring and easygoing. The PTO policy is pretty solid and there's a lot of holidays

Cons

Interrelated departments don't communicate so there's a ton of finger-pointing. Work loads often don't match an individual's bandwidth, so it's common especially in 4th quarter for work to pile on and pile on a single individual. The company lowballs on salary at every turn with 0.00 to incremental merit increases. You have to threaten to leave the company in order to get a reasonable salary adjustment. In my last role, I was paid $15 an hour while my coworkers, many of whom hired off the street, were paid $20.
