Unpredictable Leadership and Low Compensation

Pros

A few years ago, this was an awesome place to work. Unfortunately, it got acquired and leadership change after leadership change eventually led to a massive push to outsource everything to India. This happened conveniently at the start of the Covid pandemic, which was immediately followed by massive layoffs with no warning and a surge of new India positions. It all felt pretty shady and the stress is still hanging over the remaining US employees. - Remote options available for most roles - If you are from India, the opportunities seem pretty great. - Employees who have been with PlanSource longer than 3 years all are amazing and great to work with.

Cons

- Benefits aren't great (especially for a "Benefits Administration" company) - Very low compensation with no opportunities for promotion. - Leadership refuses to be transparent when it comes to outsourcing, compensation, restructuring, or company wide decisions. - Too much focus on quantity over quality in employees. Example: letting long time employees with valuable domain knowledge leave while adding hundreds of India employees with no prior knowledge. - Attrition hasn't slowed down in two years. Leadership refuses to hire high experienced replacements for lost knowledge. - No Cost of Living adjustment. - Both US and India employees are expected to work at odd hours due to the vast time difference.

Still an amazing company to work for

Pros

There has been a lot of change recently and some growing pains that have come along with that change. That being said, this is still a hidden gem and great place to work in Orlando, etc. - I have grown immensely and learned a ton during my time here. I came in with no direct experience and I’ve grown more than I ever thought possible in a short amount of time. Ive worked with and partnered with tons of different teams and levels of leadership (from intern to C-suite) and everyone is kind, patient, and eager to make an impact in their respective areas. The people are what make PS amazing. Highlights include: Great office location (ORL headquarters) Good benefits (consistent improvements being made to keep us competitive) Tons of room for growth and promotions Flexible hybrid/remote policy Awesome product and client base

Cons

As I mentioned, there are growing pains here. It is fast-paced and there is constant change. I’ll take growing pains over the alternative any day, but I do think a few improvements could be made in the following areas: -better strategy for communication across teams (including accountability and follow through) -depending on industry and location, pay may be viewed as non competitive, but I think we are making good progress here.

Pros

Great place if you don’t need a ton of structure to get up to speed. Business is growing and I strongly believe in the product.

Cons

- Constant leadership turnover - very difficult to get promotions, many dead ends - bonuses have been cut in the middle of Q4 and holidays with no notice - many people have left recently creating gaps
