Plante Moran reviews

Managers in recruiting department are the worst managers I ever worked with. They all agree with one another and they will never believe thier employees. They treat you like a slave, constantly throwing things at you to do when you haven't finished one task, and if you have a friendly-outgoing personality, forget it. They don't like these types. They will pick on you and harass you just because. Also, if you know you perform your best and you have good performances at any previous jobs, just know that your performance doesn't matter at Plante Moran. They will constantly find something wrong with you no matter if you did do a good job or not. I filled 2 hard to fill roles in a matter of 2 weeks, and was told they don't care about that, because that is not what my job is all about and that I am not operating at Senior Consultancy Level. They said this because I didn't agree with the dumb performance reviews being wrote on me. The way they tell you things is harsh and they treat you like a child. When you go to HR, they don't do anything but tell you that you are wrong. I was belittled and treated like a throw-a-way child, but I am also a minority. I was the only minority in my group when I was hired and my manager micromanaged me to death. They watch your teams, "stalk" your calendars... yes they use the word "stalk" and that's what they literally mean. You cannot be friends with coworkers here, you cannot think you have a relationship with anyone here, and lastly you will have THOUSANDS of meetings per week. They just setup random meetings I think just to bother you and be worrisome and oh yeah, you have to always have on your camera. You have to contribute in the meetings (like actually run the meetings when they tell you to), you have to write performance reviews complaining about your coworkers, which then they turn on you, and then your manager will tell you, you are doing terrific then turn around and have teammates write bad things about you. They have meetings behind your back about you and they take notes about every single thing you did wrong or didn't do right. It's never any rewards or praise, and they have a very pessimistic atmosphere. I hated it there, and I don't recommend to anyone ...especially if you are a minority or believe in family values.

The Denver office has its own culture. Huge boys club. Partners are in total denial of it and if you mention any of the unfair treatment it will hold you back further. Things seem better in Audit and in some other offices. Not worth wasting your talent.
