Pros

Work-life balance is pretty decent. And even in economic woes, you won't be laid off. Once you are in, performance is really the only metric for continuous employment. Which that even has a broad definition.

Cons

Being paid by cost of labor has its downsides.

Structural problems lurk below the surface

Pros

- "Dress for your day" policy which allows you to dress informally if not meeting with clients. - "Workplace for your day" policy gives flexibility to work from home as needed. However, there is another potentially conflicting policy that dictates that work must be done "primarily in the office." Also, depending on the job, there might be a significant amount travel involved. - There are a lot bright and hardworking individuals, which makes for an overall good work environment and motivates you. - Benefits are decent.

Cons

- There are some very good partners that would be lucky if you end up working with. However, there are other partners that are frankly not qualified for the tasks they've been assigned to, and not involved in your professional development. - Workload is extremely high, which leads to burn out for a lot of people, and high staff turnover. Also, the expectations for individuals are unreasonable. You have to be responsible for everything from sales to project management to delivery to recruiting to training to billing, and have to meet over a dozen different and often conflicting metrics. There is no task specialization, everybody has to do it all, which leads to having to rebuild the wheel, and underperformance in some areas like sales and recruiting. - As advertised by the company, they have “relatively jerk-free” culture. However, there are some people out there that in their race to become partners will be quick to take credit for your work and use power tactics to put you down if they consider you a competitor.
