Pros

Great benefits and competitive pay. As far as large Law Firms go it is a fairly easy going environment with a lot of friendly people.

Cons

Too much management and not enough people to actually do the work. You very rarely will ever be thanked for a good job, most employee/management interaction is when you are being told you're doing something wrong. I have really never felt very valued by my direct supervisors except during review time.

Pros

The teams that I worked with in the IT department were really good. Most positions are 1-person filled and everyone knew their job/responsibilities. For those who haven't worked in the Legal industry, it's good to broaden your career. Polsinelli is growing fast and in 30 cities across the US.

Cons

Senior management is in shambles. Micromanaging seems to be a favored style of some senior IT managers. Watch out for not agreeing with senior management...it may just bite you. Trying to bring processes from manufacturing does not work well with Legal. No processes in place. Polsinelli is growing way too fast and the IT Department needs more doers, not more PMs.

Good benefits. Nice offices. Opportunities to increase computer skills. Nice attorneys to work with with interesting work. Good work life balance.

Cons

Management in the Chicago office is dishonest and toxic. Are not team players. Collects money for jeans day to benefit themselves.
