Unable to take time for parents death

Pros

My employment was short and there is not much to share.

Cons

I had a parent pass during the beginning of my employment. I requested 2-3 days to grieve and be with my spouse, which was denied. In addition, I interviewed under a listed salary range that was 30k higher than they offered me. The whole thing just felt incredibly dishonest.

Hello, Thank you for sharing the difficult details of your experience. We're incredibly sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties in utilizing bereavement leave for your parent. In addition, we appreciate you highlighting your interview experience. At Powerback, we offer bereavement leave for full-time employees as long as they are not enrolled in a modcomp program. We take this policy seriously and would like to investigate further to see where we could have provided better communication and clarification. Our exit interview process will allow you to share additional detailed feedback from your POV regarding both of your concerns. In addition, this process will give our team the opportunity to connect directly with you. If you are interested in participating in this voluntary process, communications will be sent to your personal email, which was on file during your time at Powerback. We sincerely appreciate any feedback you can provide to help us highlight areas of opportunity where we could potentially update our bereavement policy or improve our communications surrounding it. Again, we are deeply sorry to hear that Powerback was not the best fit for you. We are rooting for your success in your continued career and sincerely wish you all the best. We are committed to providing an outstanding employee experience for everyone at Powerback. This starts here with the feedback we receive from our Powerback team members like you. --Aimee, Marketing Specialist
