Pros

Great people to work with. Executives are focused and care about employees. They had a really bad customer, Palantir, that did a lot of shady and what seems unethical things to them in 2016. But they've bounced back and I'm happy to say it's deserving that the company does well. I've never worked at a Company where I'm legitimately happy showing up to work everyday. Plus I hated Palantir so I'm glad I don't have to work with them anymore!

Cons

Wish they had HQ offices in London.

Pros

-Casual work environment at HQ despite working within the intelligence community and other federal spaces. Very refreshing in comparison to other beltway government contractors. -Very smart team, with an emphasis on hiring intelligent, interesting employees rather than just looking at a hard list of requirements. -Best health benefits I've ever had. 100% company paid in most cases, and very competitive for family coverage. -The company has managed to diversify its business model since 2013, transitioning from a single-platform service shop to a far more dynamic offering of prime, sub, and sole source work. Beyond that, exciting partnerships with some IT industry leadership is on the way.

Cons

Praescient suffers some of the usual "small company" woes while transcending others. On the one hand, hours can sometimes be long during surges or when cross-support is required as we grow/hire new employees. However, for a company under 100 people Praescient has the distinction of being able to support its contractors on overhead even if something disastrous happens on a contract, and actively works to find alternative work for them. Communication is both very transparent and very opaque, depending on how busy everyone is; It can sometimes be very easy for information to skip someone or fall through the cracks when we're busy (we're working on that).

Pros

I have been treated very well at Praescient and enjoy the work that I do. My direct supervisor does a great job and I feel like I have more than ample support to complete my work.

Cons

I value transparency and would like to see a little more of it this year. Sometimes it's hard to follow what's going on with different projects when you're so focused on your own tasks.
