Pros

Paycheck usually comes on time. Fellow workers at your level may be nice and intelligent and dedicated, but you are still at odds with an insane upper management. Even working together it is impossible to really do what needs to be done to satisfy customers and create good software due to top heavy management, too few actual people doing the "real work" - far too many pencil pushers and data collectors. I worked on projects where I would be the only programmer and 5 upper management people would be telling me what to do rather than getting more programmers to work together on the issues. It was not efficient or effective.

Cons

Extremely dysfunctional company that just buys more and more companies to try to keep its books looking like they are making a profit, while things rot from the inside. You are really working for private equity, and the software you create, maintain or sell is just a decoration - the upper management do not care about it nor understand it. Upper management rewards mediocrity as long as the middle management keeps a positive message coming and shuts down all criticism as "bad attitude". Management are addicted to judging everything by generated "dashboards" based on bad data that is input from overworked employees who are filling in time sheets and checking boxes just to get it tasks of the way. Garbage in, garbage out. No one from upper management talks to the little employees - ridiculously hierarchical and rigid. Company claims to be "AGILE" but the dev managers do not listen to their developers nor to their customers, and are sure to keep the 2 groups very separate. "AGILE" is just a word used to just try to get more work out of already overworked developers. They refuse to promote the actual experts on that software to any positions of control over it. Layoffs famously get rid of the people doing the real work. Now in many software stacks, no more experts exist on that software. Too few expert technical people left in many areas to design/make/test/support the software. The few good managers spend all their time doing reviews of people who are stressed out and overworked and are themselves in charge of too much to be effective at any one thing. Upper management here does not like to hear any negativity and will just shut down any staff who bring up valid criticisms, by blaming the messenger. Gaslighting in the extreme.

Pros

Most people are pretty friendly.

Cons

Management is out of touch with employees, learn how to listen and don't be so quick to judge. Company 401k distributions have stopped due to covid even though the company continues to do well. Toxic work environment.

Pros

Nothing as of now as it has acquired Pitney Bowes's Software and Data business and transition is going on.

Cons

Even before starting proper functioning in India. Syncsort has started firing employee which they earlier communicated that there would be no effect on employees due to take over.
