Pros

4 weeks PTO plus week between Christmas and New Years off Benefits were decent

Cons

High turnover, unclear expectations, poor management, divisive coworkers, long work hours with no respect for boundaries, profit-driven mentality, poor quality work, super fragmented processes and communication due to multiple acquisitions, no one cares about training you- it’s sink or swim. It was not uncommon to see random emails announcing someone’s last day with no explanation. There were a lot of very smart and talented people who did not thrive simply because of how the company operated. As long as they have investors to answer to I don’t see much changing.

Pros

- Feel challenged and learn something new everyday - You work on a variety of projects which mean every day doesn’t always look the same. - Great culture that encourages you to take time off for yourself and maintan a work-life balance - Gain experience in the pharmaceutical industry, managed care, and medical writing

Cons

- Can work long hours sometimes because this is a very deadline-based job - The work is extremely detail-oriented so your mind needs to be “On” at all times which can be mentally draining - If you have doctorate, you may not be satisfied with the compensation because although it is set slightly higher than average medical writer salaries, the role itself doesn’t align with the salary trajectories/expectations of doctoral-level graduates. My main motivation for joining was the potential experience I could gain in this role and the chance to enter into this industry (which is really competitive/challenging)
