Fascinating manufacturing environments on the biggest pieces of equipment in the world, making the coolest products in the world. There are good advancement opportunities and strong training programs in place for those who seek them. If you can be successful in the environment, you are considered capable of performing successful in just about any other business in the world.

Cons

A-typically high intensity and scrutiny of daily metrics. Being measured by the hour with senior management observing your progress closely can be more pressure than most would like. Aggressive immediate problem solving expectations can occasionally lead to decision that feel unfortunately short sighted. The industry cycles in aerospace and oil can have immense impact on the business, and feeling subject to external influences in not entirely pleasant.
