The buyout of our company (the big one) has been a train wreck!

Haven't converted us to the lower paying salary... yet. OK if you're young, degreed, and have no family.

Cons

They push the stress levels to the point that most of our top talent has quit (in plain view of our on-site major customers). More will be quitting soon as some local competitors are now working on hiring us.

Mid-level management is holding the company together.

Cons

Executive leadership drives the business quarter to quarter, with no long term business strategy. Sacrifices are made to make the numbers for the current quarter at the detriment of the future. Mid- level managers are expected to meet numbers that, in some instances, were 30% greater than the company had ever delivered. Managers setting record production levels for several consecutive months, but still falling short of unrealistic business targets, are made to feel as if they had failed. Sic downward spiral from an organizational dynamic standpoint. Seven of the ten members of the local management team have left in the past year.

Pay is good for most. Benefits are good, but are eroding.

Cons

Constantly moving the goal posts so people are constantly berated for not meeting them. Employees are nothing but numbers and completely expendable to management. They'll smile at you while stabbing you in the back. Strong sense of favoritism.
