Pros

It’s a sales job, you get out of it what you put in. If you’re in a decent location your commission will be pretty good. Not a bad job if you’re looking to build a sales resume. Quite frankly it’s pretty decent money for how little actual work you do.

Cons

Working every single holiday and every single weekend. You have to deal with plenty of rude customers who do not know what they’re talking about. Often times upper management encourages you to commit fraud to hit goals. They also encourage you to lie to people. It sucks your soul out. They will move you around to different stores without any notice and act like you’re being pompous for not being happy that your commute just doubled. It’s very cutthroat. Very little room for growth. Horrible work life balance.

Apply for Sprint instead. They pay more.

Pros

You work inside air conditioning as long as you aren’t forced to stand outside of the store in heat or rain to force innocent bystanders to buy Directv Now.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Pay plan changes constantly. You are forced into fraud to hit goals. They will hold meeting to discuss the best ways to commit the fraud. Upper management is terrible. Doesn’t matter how much you prove yourself, they will still favor whoever is brown nosing more. And when you speak up, they get rid of you.

Unethical, uncaring

Pros

Could earn large commission check if you’re at a good location and good salesperson.

Cons

All they care about is numbers, and encourage you to make unethical practices to achieve unrealistic numbers. Upper management doesn’t care about the little guy, incredibly pompous. Heavy politics is needed to advance in the company. This company appears to be heading towards a slippery slope... get out now before the go broke.
