Pros

The University has really good research facilities that are very equipped with latest technology. There is a lot of investment in campus and the departments so that everything just seems to work well.

Cons

It is quite expensive to live in the local area, a problem that has not really been addressed by the university who generally recruit using the NIH minimum rate. This this often means that lower and mid-level staff, such as postdocs and research assistants, have to commute quite a distance to and from work.

Cons

Staff, other than very important deans, are overlooked and treated poorly. Salaries are low. Absolutely no room for advancement.
