Many opportunities to work with world renowned professors and exposure to cutting-edge research. The Princeton name carries prestige and opens doors to networks. I had a great time, although students' experiences vary widely with their thesis advisors and their department's culture. Some advisors are very friendly and supportive while others can make your life quite difficult. The university generally treats the graduate students well, with moderate TA loads and high stipends by the standards of PhD programs.

Cons

The university housing sucks (but the suburban location makes it possible to find third party apartments at reasonable prices) and parking for commuters is a daily nightmare. Some campus buildings are in need of renovation.
