Pros

Disappointing experience so far so this will be short: pay is okay (just okay) but depends on your level, free healthcare premiums (but watch out for that high deductible), some great mid-level and junior staff trying their best to cope in a fear-driven and toxic culture.

Cons

Human resources is almost totally absent - resulting in employees siloed under managers. Some managers are great, some mediocre, and some are worse. This results in a toxic and dysfunctional environment overall. Top leadership does not take career development or human resources seriously - and Privia hasn't meaningfully invested in either to date. A small "Talent" team purports to represent H/R but lacks the requisite experience and knowledge to manage the many H/R issues that arise in a fast-growing company. Privia leadership expends time and resources trying to quell genuine Glassdoor reviews by "asking" new or inner-circle leadership to post positive reviews. I say asking with quotes because employees have been brought into the Talent office and accused of posting negative reviews on Glassdoor. Five negative reviews of Privia - 20% of total submissions - have disappeared as of the time of this writing. It is unclear why these genuine reviews have been removed. It is downright scary that a company would resort to these tactics to manipulate its public image. Turnover is outrageous. I have never seen turnover like this in my career. The company bleeds talent monthly, with fresh faces filling seats but incapable of filling the institutional knowledge that keeps pouring out the doors. Beware the false front that Privia puts up for doctors and candidates alike. Far too much energy is spent on fluffing up Privia's purported technology capabilities, career opportunities, and its "high performance" culture. In reality, there are very few advancement opportunities available. Unless you are a seasoned industry veteran, do not expect to get promoted or even get a decent bonus at Privia. You are far more likely to quit or be let go. If you're desperate for a job, you might be able to squeeze out a few months before you tear your hair out and run for the doors.

Awesome place if you're an "A Player"

Pros

Some of the brightest minds I've ever worked with. People are genuinely motivated by the conpany's mission to improve outcomes for patients. A flat org structure and crazy growth which unlocks significant career opportunities for A level talent.

Cons

This is not a place to work if you are a B- or C level talent... as you won't last. Many posters have talked about "high turnover"... well, the company is very transparent that they "bear hug" A players and seek to move C players out... and they do. The reality is that we don't lose many A players. But that means if your not a top performance, I guess in some ways you can feel unstable here. I personally LOVE feeling like my colleagues are all contributing at the same high performance level I strive for.
