Pros

- The people are friendly. They are genuinely concerned about improving health care. - Since the acquisition/merger, there is a focus on aligning with the goals of the business. - There are interesting problems to tackle and the potential to make a difference.

Cons

- They haven't quite figured things out yet after years of chasing different carrots - Some people are very afraid of losing their jobs and so there is more politics than at a typical startup - There is some burnout among employees after the carrot chasing phase - A significant portion of salary may be from a bonus which is determined by business alignment. But if your team was given the wrong objectives you won't find out until performance reviews when it's too late - There were stock options terms promised that may not be fulfilled or are in limbo with the merger

Pros

Free subpar health insurance is the only positive I can think of

Cons

Unrealistic work expectations with no work/life balance, stakeholders who just don't show up for meetings or phone calls or just hole themselves up in their office. They ignore the world by wearing Bose headphones to emphasize a complete lack of approachability, zero collaboration or support. Nonexistent onboarding process. You are just suppose to fend for yourself and figure it out. If you don't figure it out quick enough, they fire you or ignore you long enough to make you give up and quit. Rude, unfriendly, abrasive personalities.

Pros

Good hours, paid holidays, weekends off, good place to learn the basics of nursing.

Cons

Doesn't pay enough for RNs, no potential for advancement, huge turn over of nursing staff, most nurses don't stay past 6 months.
