Pros

You will always know about new job opportunities (because recruiters will call you 5+ times a day about the same job - some call this harassment, procare will say they are just doing their job)

Cons

For any discipline from SLP to OT, RBTs, nurses, and anyone in between. You CAN make more money, I promise you. These recruiters WILL low ball you on your hourly wage (it is not inherently their fault it is what they are trained to do) . Essentially, the money they are making off you is wild, im talking 50%+ margins. So if they are paying you $30+/hour just know they are making that too (this money could go to you if they didn't operate off greed). How it works, the schools will pay a bill rate to procare for your employment. So for example, if the bill rate is $100/hr, and you only make $40/hour. The other $60 is going straight into procares wallet. Out of the $60 into procares wallet, recruiters will only see %2 of it in commissions. ALWAYS negotiate higher, even if they say the can't go that high, yes they can. Candidates will always have the power over these recruiters, they are desperate for you to sign a contract and will do just about anything to get you to sign.

Pros

-good pay, especially right out of college -good company mission (for those who truly believe in it) -frequent catering and fun office events -opportunities for growth if you're willing to play the game how they want -nice offices in good locations -fun colleagues

Cons

-BIGGEST CON: lack of work-life balance despite presenting balance as a cultural cornerstone during interviews. It's nearly impossible to earn WFH days, and even if you have extenuating circumstances, leadership/HR will not let you work from home unless you have brought in a lot of money. In fact, they'll encourage you to quit instead. They will have food catered to entice you to stay after 5 pm, and will tell you you can have flex hours but not before you place a certain number of candidates. They will also judge and criticize you if you show up later than 7 am or leave before 5:30 during "busy season." -sales/recruitment is a dog-eat-dog world, and this will not be the place for you if you don't like competition and paranoia (I once had a teammate go to our manager and request I be fired because I was doing my job, and they didn't think I'd been there long enough to "steal their leads"...the candidate applied to my job post, and I reached out first. No stealing at all.) -you will be asked to prove your worth (make at least $100,000 in commissions) before you are given any sort of respect or are valued in any way, and they will make it incredibly difficult to reach this goal by showing favoritism and handing out deals to their friends, family, and frat/srat brothers and sisters. -little support from leadership as you're starting out but a lot of micromanaging and raising expectations as soon as you meet or exceed them -Lack of diversity/lack of education on leadership's part -CEO is a jerk
