      Pros

      The pros were that I was per diem so I could pretty much make my own schedule. I was able to get a chance to get retirement benefits after a year

      Cons

      The downside for working here was that it is a big company and it didn't feel very personal. I worked at two different hospitals and didn't really have the chance to make a bond with my coworkers at either place.

      Pros

      The nursing staff. Wonderful people to work with and some of the smartest, hardest working people I know. Clinical skills and assessments are top notch. We have done amazing live saving things together with physicians, RTs, and other clinical staff.

      Cons

      Continually tell staff that competitive wages, bonuses, fair pay for night shift or charge nurse duties are not in the budget all while building multi-million dollar facilities and new towers. Do not listen to clinical staff AT ALL concerning development of new ICU units leading to workplaces that are barely functional for both staff and patients (example - designing an ICU room around a stretcher rather than a bed because "that's what we thought ICU patients stayed on" and only allowing for storage of 3 isolation gowns per ICU room because " that's all that you should need right?"
