Unpleasant experience

Pros

Met some great people here and learned valuable lessons on how not to behave in a professional setting.

Cons

10+ hour work day, 0 flexibility or work life balance. Those who prove themselves to be reliable are given an unmanageable workload, requests for help with said workload were either ignored or met with “evaluation” of your time management-which was just belittling questioning and then an added responsibility of a daily report on your exact activities- although there were several other platforms where management could track this information. Chronic unprofessional behavior in the workplace such as yelling, swearing, outbursts by leadership, and emotional manipulation. Initiatives were rolled out overnight and strictly enforced with no explanation, then abandoned within a month if not sooner. High stress, no rewards.

A Resilient Company

Pros

I’ve been with this company for 23 years, starting back in 2001 during a really difficult time for everyone. For me personally, finding this job was a lifesaver. The job has always been challenging, but it allowed me to grow with the company and become a professional who isn’t afraid of any task and has been successful in solving them. It’s important to note that since this isn’t a software company, but a staffing agency, hiring a developer to create home-grown software was an unusual solution. I was up to the task, and together we developed software that met the needs of employees and clients, adapting to business needs, client needs, and legal requirements. Now, the company has moved to a new platform, Bullhorn, but the focus on flexibility and 100% support of clients and employee needs hasn't been changed. This company is a survivor. We’ve been through several recessions and crises, coming out stronger each time by finding new ways to do our work and not being afraid of challenges. The pandemic was an important example of this resilience. During that time, the company started hiring clinical professionals, a completely new field for us. Instead of seeing difficulties as obstacles, we viewed them as opportunities to innovate and expand. I believe this adaptability has been key to our success and growth.

Cons
