Pros

None!!! None!!! None!!! I need at least 5 words but it’s still none!!

Cons

You can tell by HR defensive and rude responses back, exactly how proctor is. All they do is make excuses for why people have such a negative taste in their mouth about Proctor, Instead of getting to the root of the problem. They are the problem!!! This place is like a high school a bunch of petty people focusing on each other and gossiping instead of doing their job and going home. HR wants to say that you are engaging in it instead of doing your work!!! But guess what HR it’s pretty hard to not hear the gossiping when it’s coming from MANAGEMENT!!! They talk about all their employees and their employees business and you can hear it on a daily basis because they are LOUD!!! Management also takes the time to have team meetings where they literally curse everybody out and tell them how they are not doing their job. And don’t come at me with that you probably weren’t doing your job stuff, because I had the highest production numbers when I was there, so much that I helped train new employees coming in. Managers are going around cussing all the time and dropping F bombs. They are extremely unprofessional and it makes for a very toxic environment and negative space. Insurance processing has turned into making a bunch of phone calls all day!!! And they don’t even give you proper credit for the calls. Mostly everybody that I worked with when starting proctor has quit, including me!!! HR is good for nothing because like I said all they do is make excuses. Do your job!! Be a voice for the workers. Not a rude person focused on writing rude Glassdoor responses, and just assuming that the person wasn’t a good worker because they had a negative experience at Proctor. Be the solution not the problem!!!

Pros

Sometimes had lunches. Nothing else positive.

Cons

Micromanagement, petty and gossiping coworkers, no growth, data entry has turned into a call center job. I would only apply if you are desperate and need money. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. It can be perceived that you are focusing more on office gossip and opposed to being a successful and productive employee. In any organization, there will be rumors discussed, however, it is up to the employee to ether report his/her concerns, or simply focus on himself/herself. It is understood that Proctor is a production based environment, and there are performance and production guidelines that must be followed to ensure Proctor remains a successful resource to our clients. It is the responsibility of leadership, as well as our employees, to ensure that required goals and expectations are being met. Time management is a necessity to the daily tasks of all Proctor employees. It would irresponsible to assume that strict time management is perceived as a negative trait. There is a big difference between strict time management and micro-managing. Each department has different responsibilities that are required for the positions within that department. We are aware that it is not favorable for management to micro-manage any employee. We give all employees the opportunity to be successful. If you feel as though you are being micro-managed, I encourage you to reach out to your leadership to discuss. Insurance Processing and Call Center are two separate entities, the level of calls that Insurance Processors make, does not compare to the hundreds of calls that Call Center receives on a daily basis. Your comparison of the two departments is incorrect.

Pros

- As long as you show up to work and get your hours in, it's flexible. -The pros are for sure the people are the best asset. I enjoyed my coworkers and I miss them!!! -It is nice that they offer health benefits to people working 30 hours or more. Fairly reasonably priced benefits as well. -Most paid holidays like Memorial Day, Labor day, etc to employees. - The dress code is relaxed (jeans, tee shirt, and tennis shoes are okay) -Holidays are celebrated in fun ways, ugly sweater, and pumpkin carving competitions. - They do provide lunches sometimes and are trying to incorporate food trucks and restaurants for pop ups. -Sometimes there are opportunities for overtime. -There are some options to work from home.

Cons

- You have be determined and persistent to get answers sometimes. All of the managers/team leads/supervisors/IT management are constantly in meetings and seem overwhelmed. -Limited opportunities to grow unless you ask for them yourself. But that's true of most places. -I do echo some of the others that say the temp of the office is uncomfortable. It's freezing in the summer. I dress the same in the winter and the summer here. -Also with having so many people in a building there are issues of cleanliness of the bathrooms and cafeteria. There is a cleaning staff that comes in twice a day but the bathrooms are often gross with so many people. - Also like many others have posted the salary appears to be lower than the industry standards. In applying for other jobs and friends that have left Proctor have affirmed this notion to me. But there is more flexibility and cool people there so you have to take into account that trade off. -The company seems to be in a transition period, example recently the President of the company was let go. Another example is that the first job I had here will soon be going overseas to India. Some of the work from home employees will have to return to the main office. There are some changes going on but all companies need to evolve. -For many people the work life balance is very difficult especially for the salaried employees. Overall the pros for me outweigh any negative aspects.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate that you can identify more positive qualities as opposed to the negative. As you know, due to the work volume, management may not be available at all times. Please keep in mind that that you can always reach out to your Team Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or Director for assistance. The best approach would be to put time on the calendar of your leadership to discuss concerns or issues. As it relates to advancement opportunities, we encourage our teammates to begin dialogue with their supervisors if they are looking for more responsibility or additional opportunities within their current role. PFI offers the opportunity for teammates to meet one-on-one with their management team to seek additional information, and requirements to advance to the next position. When posting positions internally, we ensure that the requirements are specific and stated clearly, so our team members are aware of what it takes to get to the next level. To stay competitive, we pay above local and national average for many positions. We ensure that our compensation structure is commensurate with experience and ability. It is not our intention to pay insufficient wages. Annual review percentage is based on personal performance and the performance reviews clearly state the reasons for the percentage of increase. Proctor has several opportunities for growth. This growth is dependent on the teammate. We can provide the teammate with the tools for success; however, it is up to the individual to reach personal goals for advancement. Although you feel that there is no room for advancement at Proctor, the longevity of employment that our teammates have speaks volumes about the culture of the company. Proctor Financial encourages its teammates to develop their skills in many ways such as providing tuition reimbursement, seminars and in-house training. We recognize our teammate’s efforts and hard work by presenting them with incentives throughout their employment here at Proctor. Proctor Financial will pay full-time teammates 100% of the cost for programs or classes attended at the request of Proctor. Proctor recognizes its teammates all year. Some of the ways our staff are recognized: lucrative financial incentive program; many of our production teammates have the opportunity to earn an additional $4,000 annually, week-long teammate appreciation events, celebratory quarterly luncheons, pop-up raffles and drawings throughout the year, teammate of the month and teammate of the year awards, extra paid time off, cash awards and gift cards, and much, much more. We understand that morale is crucial to the success of our teammates, which is why we make teammate appreciation a priority.
