Pros

1:1 is a great concept Most of the clients are great to work with Most of the nurses/CNA’s and case managers are amazing

Cons

They keep an open position posted and hire a nurse a month even though current nurses can’t get hours because they don’t have enough clients. If your client passes away then you have NO hours. Staffing and management do not try to get current staff hours and do not offer any sense of compassion. A nurse hired last month might have full time hours while a nurse that’s been there 5 years will have no hours if their client passes away so you have negative consequences for staying with a client for several years. Notes and time is done on paper and mailed to corporate so you never get your pay on the correct paycheck. They often misplace notes and it’s not electronic so good luck getting paid. If you work the last few days of the check cycle there’s no way to get it mailed in time to get paid. There’s no PTO. They pay .20 cents/mile after the first 20 miles (government rate is .60/mile). They tell you that you have a “no compete” so they know you don’t have any hours but expect you not to work for other companies. If you don’t average at least 30 hrs/week then you can’t keep your insurance but again no clients. The pay is low (CNA’s make $13.00/hour, LVN 26, RN $37). There are never any raises. They had a client on service and knew his son was a sex offender. They kept it a secret and sure enough the son started coming over being a creep. They still didn’t tell the staff or tell the adult son he couldn’t be there while staff was there. Staffing coordinators have a high turnover so the rules for staffing change all the time. In order to get any hours you have to be available 24/7 and willing to travel for that .20 cents/mile because the only hours available are if someone calls in. One Case Manager in this area is very difficult to deal with and the staff have an entire text thread about her and her ridiculous behavior. All other case managers are amazing!

Pros

Amazing Sr Case Managers that will do absolutely everything to help you and the patients become like family! Pay is pretty good!

Cons

Lots of driving with zero car benefits and horrible gas reimbursement
