Pros

The company is financially stable, home office is still a standard practice, management (depending on the team) is generally ok, there are cool benefits.

Cons

As in all big companies, there are a lot of people getting a salary for doing nothing but if can ignore this and just do your job, you will be ok.

Pros

Stable company. Salary and benefits are decent. Has some good products that have been around a long time.

Cons

As a consultant you are left to fend for yourself. A new contract can be harrowing if you don't have all the skills needed when you start. Very little training or time spent on developing a successful career path. As long as you can bill consulting hours you are left alone.
