Pros

I’ve been employed here for 3yrs. The only pros are that they offer bonuses as well as good health benefits. They also allow you to work from home.

Cons

No work life balance They don’t accommodate school schedules They require you to up sale although you don’t get commission, you can be fired for not making enough offers. You will be overworked and underpaid It can be mentally and emotionally draining as 80% of the callers are angry and will take it out on you. They also don’t allow an LOA unless you have fmla.

Pros

My second and third supervisors were fantastic, too good for the company. Being able to work from home was ideal.

Cons

Where do I begin? Management above supervisors were absolutely out of touch with on-the-ground employees; they constantly moved the goalposts for metrics. Auto-in Avaya means you have to clock out for bathroom breaks, and if you're over on Aux time, you can expect an email or even a call from your supervisor. Getting time off was an absolute headache. If you had an Internet or power outage, you had to use PTO during the outage. We were expected to keep extremely high metrics even when we would receive phone calls that would take an hour+ from our day each. This company lies to entry-level employees that they will get their shot, but they usually don't. Everyone from my training group was extremely over-qualified, and even my supervisors were very underpaid and over-worked, all to line the pockets of the executives and lazy middle management. I would dread going to sleep at night because I knew I'd have to wake up the next morning and go back to this awful job.

Pros

I started with Progressive at the beginning of the pandemic, and I really enjoyed the position. Management, for the most part, was wonderful. I came out of the closet during the pandemic as being a trans woman, and Progressive fully supported me. Their name is reflective of the ideals of the company. If you are looking for a wonderfully, forward-thinking company, this is the right place for you. Be prepared to work hard, though.

Cons

learning the job virtually from home during the pandemic was a struggle, but hey, gotta do that Covid Pivot, right? No real cons, maybe the training after you get out of training could be a bit better, but I think that was more the fault of an inexperienced supervisor.
