Starting at Progyny seemed like a dream—patient care advocates actually helping families through fertility journeys? What a concept. That illusion didn’t last long. Instead, it quickly became clear that the company thrives on micromanagement and loves to move the goalposts at every turn. Senior leadership seems more interested in boasting about their “innovative” ideas on LinkedIn than actually staffing the Member and Provider Services department properly. Which, of course, means there’s zero chance of creating any meaningful workflows or actually making things easier for their employees—or the families they supposedly serve. The "contact center" is a revolving door of staff, constantly dealing with 2-year backlogs, and members who are beyond frustrated by the lack of progress on their cases, reimbursements, and authorizations. As for the supervisors and managers? They’re there to dish out solutions like, “Did you try turning it off and on again?” Brilliant.
